UNICEF Australia Project

I, alongside, a team of transdisciplinary students partnered with UNICEF Australia to design a solution on how we can collate data on the needs and perspectives of children post-climate disasters in a way that is non-intrusive and non-traumatic. Through a 12 week process of methods, research, stakeholder interviews and safe-to-fail experiments we found that storytelling creates liminal spaces, builds relationships and allows for emotional freedom and metaphorical sense-making. We created an activity book, ‘Blue Goes to the Moon’, which empowers children to share their experiences, informs policy, and ensures tailored support for their well-being.
